Amelie Dining Armchair — Classic
Dining Chair
$220
The best dining armchairs are the ones you notice last. Not because they are forgettable, but because they integrate so naturally into the room that removing them would leave a visible silence. The Amelie Dining Armchair achieves this balance through a deliberate interplay of proportions: the seat height at 46 cm aligns with the standard 74 cm dining table to position the diner's arms at a natural 90-degree angle for cutting and lifting; the curved back shell supports the lumbar and mid-back without pushing the sitter forward; and the armrests allow both easy entry and comfortable support through a full meal.
The frame is constructed from solid beech or kiln-dried oak hardwoods selected for their dimensional stability and resistance to warping. The legs taper from 4 cm at the top to 2.5 cm at the foot, a proportion that visually lightens the chair while maintaining a load-bearing capacity rated for contract use.
RobertCASA offers two fabric families: velvet with a pile height of 1.8 mm, tested to 30,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs meeting Contract Grade standard, and boucle with a looped yarn texture that reads as warmer and more tactile. Both are available in cream and 12 standard colors. COM is accepted on quantities exceeding MOQ for custom fabric specification.
The Amelie requires 45 to 60 days for production. Interior designers working on residential dining rooms, boutique hotel restaurants, or members clubs will find that the Amelie's restraint is precisely what makes it perform across multiple briefs. This is what RobertCASA means by Design That Holds Up: a chair designed to disappear into the rooms rhythm, only to be missed when it is gone.
